Hi,

I recently bought X3 Terran Conflict and tried to install X3 map on this version but without success.

Is there any plan to adapt this great tool to Terran Conflict?

Thanks happy

Don't know why I hadn't seen your map prog before. I could not seem to make this work in X3 Tc. So after reading a lot of posts and some trial and error I decided to see if I could make it work in X3 R. Everything working ok, except I don't play that version anymore, I substituted the log00001_fresh.rar. in your directory and the map works great. I can get X3TC to create a log file ok, but when I try to use the data from my game file I get a bunch of access warning errors, and interger messages and the program will no longer run.Is that because the program is not ready for X3TC or am I doing something wrong?

Some parts of the scripts are not ready.
Currently i'm short of time and can't release a new version.

manji, i've made a fast attempt to adapt the map for TC.
You can try to test it and report about the results

It's a great thing you've adapted it for TC, but looks like the Ace's script doesn't work with X3TC - no key for search appears under "Extensions". I can't even open and check any of his script files with TC internal script editor as the editor doesn't show them!!! cry

same thing here .. i'm glad that you made an adaptation for TC but no association with key appear on our control panel and the script editor of the game do not open ( as usual :p)

( sorry if i made some mistakes but i'm not used to write in english)

Ace is primary the member of Elite-Games community, so maybe we should ask him to perform an adaptation of his script for X3TC via Elite-Games. But we should consider the fact there was no official release of X3TC in Russia and all other CIS countries, so there is a small possibility that he isn't acquainted with X3TC.

i had read rapidly the script .. and to my mind it must be ooperational but juste the association key is not.

reading the readme i have seen this sentence :"Start X3, load your savegame, go to «Options» (Shift+O with ship in space). Choose «Controls» and select «Interface» tab. Scroll down until the «Extensions» section (usually at the end)."
but in X3TC there are not a section named "Extensions"

in order there are: general / view / menus /edition / archive /sector map.

so if the program search the location "extension" they will be never or association key.

( i'm a begginner in programation so it was fast reading so i'm possibly wrong.)

sorry for the double post but to say you i had succesfully made it ...

when searching in french some solution i found one ...
just to download an script package here : http://www.thexuniverse.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13346

the attached file .( you need to be registered)

first instal and follow all the consign of your magnificant program then extract the archive file.
made the same manipulations
( copy paste the file in the t to the same repertory of the game etc...)

after the manipulations in game are aviable and the log file is on the "my documents / egosoft"

thanks all for your work .. and if it will be usefull for you tongue

well, i did like irline posted and used Scorps "X3_map_Setup_TC_Edition_EN.zip".

didn't work.

sadly i didn't look into my scripts and t folder either, before installing the TC edition (which gave me a "Can't detect X3: Reunion on your computer. X3-script is not installed in the game."-popup when installing).
[edit]..so i don't know what files where added with the installer and which are vanilla vom X³TC.[/edit]

i'll uninstall the map program and try it again..

[edit²]ok got it to work now, basically it's like irline described.
that "french" forum is a german one, so if anyone want some translations, just ask me ^^
btw: at first there were some text-id-code where "activate search of objects" should be (to add a hotkey). after undocking it actually changed to the right text ^^

btw²: in X³TC the encyclopedia ("personal" --> "advanced" --> "encyclopedia") is also a nice way to find wares and ships and stuff. but it looks like the idea of finding stuff just stopped on half of the way:
the cool thing is, you fill the encyclopedia automatically by yourself while you explore the universe. whatever you find or buy, whoever you meet, it's added into that big ingame library.
the uncool thing is, even if you know that something is sold here or manufactured there, you never know how many items are still there.
and sadly there are no links who could shorten that way of finding things easily.
that's where this X3 map tool come into play : ) nice work! *thumbs up*[/edit²]
